Online Session

ICMMGH 2024 will hold an online session on the topic of biological engineering, biomedical engineering, medicine, clinical and public health for more convenient participation of scholars worldwide. This online session will invite professors from top universities and authors of qualified papers to present their works. Keynote speeches and oral presentations will be delivered through videos, which can be watched on ICMMGH 2024 official YouTube channel. We believe that this online session will still be a great platform for participants to share, discuss, and cooperate. Hope you may enjoy the ICMMGH 2024 online session!

Presentation Format

All invited authors at the virtual conference will be giving their presentations using pre-recorded videos. The recommended length of the videos is 5-10 minutes. An official YouTube channel for the online session will be created. All accepted videos will be uploaded to our official channel. Discussion on the content of the papers will be conducted in the comment section of the videos.

Information for Authors

Besides the certificate of participation, speakers in the online session will also receive a certificate of oral presentation. The presentation videos will be listed on the official YouTube channel permanently.

Conference Fees

Viewers of the online session do not need to pay the conference participation fee. However, invited authors need to pay the processing fee.

Record & Upload Videos

Invited presenters can follow the instruction to record and upload your presentations. Every presenter should make their own slides including one designated cover slide and record a video within the time limit. The recommended length of the videos is between 5 and 10 minutes. The video and slides should be in widescreen format (16:9). The slides can be created in any presentation software, e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote, etc., which allows you to export slides to PDF. You should upload the final video as well as the exported slides in PDF format to gofile.io and email the link to us. Download THIS FILE to look through more information.

Discussion Format

All participants are welcome to the ICMMGH 2024 chat room on Discord. You can have direct interactions with speakers. If you would like to join the online discussion, please contact info@icmmgh.org

Comments and discussions are also welcomed in the comment section of the videos. All participants may send the questions to us via email as well. We will send those questions privately to the speakers and the deadline for them to reply is January 19. All the discussions will be concluded and posted in the comment section at last.

  • It's too slow when I upload my video and presentation PDF file to gofile.io / I can't access gofile.io.

  • You can choose other online storage platforms (wetransfer.com, cowtransfer.com are our other recommendations) to upload your files. If your email service has the ability to send large files within their system, you could also send the files directly to us. PLEASE DO NOT upload the video directly to YouTube or any other video hosting websites by yourself and send us a link to it.

Visa

DECLARATION:

In order to ensure the information is correct and up to date, there may be changes which we are not aware of. And different countries have different rules for the visa application. It is always a good idea to check the latest regulations in your country. This page just gave some general information of the visa application.

Visit the UK as a Standard Visitor

You must have a passport or travel document to enter the UK. It should be valid for the whole of your stay.

You must be able to show that:

  • You'll leave the UK at the end of your visit
  • You're able to support yourself and your dependants during your trip (or have funding from someone else to support you)
  • You're able to pay for your return or onward journey (or have funding from someone else to pay for the journey)
  • You'll not live in the UK for extended periods through frequent or successive visits, or make the UK your main home

Check if you need a visa to visit the UK

Depending on your nationality, you'll either:

You can check if you need a visa before you apply.
If you do not need a visa, you must still meet the Standard Visitor eligibility requirements to visit the UK. You may be asked questions at the UK border about your eligibility and the activities you plan to do.

Apply for a Standard Visitor visa

You must apply for a Standard Visitor visa online before you travel to the UK.

A Standard Visitor visa costs £100 for up to 6 months. The earliest you can apply is 3 months before you travel.

If you visit the UK regularly, you can choose to apply for a long-term Standard Visitor visa instead.

Apply online

Once you've started your application you can save your form and complete it later.

If you're applying with family members, each person must have their own application and pay the fee. They need to attend their own appointment at a visa application centre.

You can apply on behalf of your partner and child, if they cannot apply for themselves.

You'll need to provide the following information in your online application:

  • the dates you're planning to travel to the UK
  • where you'll be staying during your visit
  • how much you think your trip will cost
  • your current home address and how long you've lived there
  • your parents' names and dates of birth (if known)
  • how much you earn in a year (if you have an income)
  • details of any criminal, civil or immigration offences you may have committed

Depending on your circumstances, you might also need to provide:

  • details of your travel history for the past 10 years
  • your employer's address and telephone number
  • your partner's name, date of birth and passport number
  • the name and address of anyone paying for your trip
  • the name, address and passport number of any family members you have in the UK
  • a certificate proving that you've had a tuberculosis (TB) test if you're visiting for more than 6 months

You must provide certified translations of any documents that are not in English or Welsh.

Proving your identity and providing your documents

As part of your online application, you need to book an appointment at a visa application centre.
Allow time to attend your appointment, as the visa application centre could be in another country.

At your appointment, you'll need to:

  • prove your identity with your passport or travel document
  • have your fingerprints and photograph (known as 'biometric information') taken
  • provide the required documents that show you're eligible for a Standard Visitor visa

The visa application centre may keep your passport and documents while processing your application.

How long it takes to get a decision

Once you've applied online, proved your identity and provided your documents, you'll usually get a decision on your visa within 3 weeks.

You can check to see if you can get your visa decision faster - this depends on what country you're in.

It's currently taking 6 weeks on average to get a decision on Standard Visitor visas. Find out visa decision waiting times.

You'll get an email or a letter containing the decision on your application. This will explain what you need to do next.

NOTICE:

Should your application be denied, the organizing committee cannot change the decision of visa officer, nor will ICMMGH engage in discussion or correspondence with the visa application center on behalf of the applicant. The registration fee CANNOT be refunded when the VISA application of individual being denied.
