Clinical OMICS for Drug Discovery and Personalized Medicine

Dr. Sanjeeva Srivastava, FRSB, FRSC, FRSM is Professor of Biosciences and Bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and currently serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). After earning his Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Canada, he completed postdoctoral training in clinical proteomics and systems biology at Harvard Medical School before joining IIT Bombay in 2009. He is also the Convener of the MASSFIITB National Proteomics Facility and an Associate Faculty member at the Koita Centre for Digital Health at IIT Bombay. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the Royal Society of Medicine, Dr. Srivastava is internationally recognized for his contributions to proteomics, multi-omics, and precision medicine.
His research focuses on integrating proteomics, multi-omics, and artificial intelligence to discover clinically actionable biomarkers and therapeutic targets for cancer and infectious diseases. His laboratory has developed translational resources, including the BrainProt database for brain tumor proteomics and DrugProtAI, an AI-driven platform for identifying personalized therapeutic strategies. He actively contributes to international initiatives, including the Human Proteome Project (HUPO) and the π-HuB Project Council, fostering global collaborations in precision healthcare.
